1st quarter 20th century

Extra Notes

The silversmiths from Hanau used pseudo marks imitating those used in Germany and France from earlier centuries. I cannot find a record of this particular maker's mark but the other marks are similar to those used by Ludwig Neresheimer. There are other cancelled marks that you also show, so possibly this may have been retailed by Neresheimer. Their production and marketing of pieces like this continued well into the 20th Century and this looks to date from the early decades of that century rather than from the 19th century.
