A small pair of Chinese bronze figures of Buddhist lions.
Description
Crouched at the rear and raised on their forepaws, the animals looking to left and right as a true pair.
Date
19th century
Length
5.5 inches length each
Extra Notes
Perhaps these were used a scroll weights but they may equally be simply a pair of decorative old bronze animals. The style is certainly later Ming (1368-1644) but these I feel are a lot later than that.
