From a Regency set . Maker's mark of William Hunter II, London 1832, the compressed circular gilt lined body embossed with flowers and leaf scrolls about a vacant cartouche, an applied foliate overhanging rim and four feet.
Very good all round wear with age related use.
16.5 x 11cm. 314g
Originally part of a late Regency set. With the popularity of tea in the 18th century, examples of cream jugs can be found dating back to the 1700s but of a much simpler and less flamboyant design.
