RARE ANCIENT ANCIENT HEAVY NEAR EASTERN GOLD BRONZE RING 1st CENTURY BC to 2nd CENTURY A.D
This type of ring was worn by both males and females on a small finger, it is very heavy for its size weighing 10 grams! In the ancient world Gold and Bronze were mixed in the creation of Coins and Jewellery resulting in small rings and jewellery items becoming really heavy.
The ring has broad ornate shoulders with diamond shaped bezel each corner having a raised blob, there is also a zig zag design to the face of the bezel. The band is quite thick and d shaped with raised blob to the rear.
It could be polished to high gloss gold if you wish or you can leave it as it is.
The bronze ring has expanding shoulders and raised flat bezel featuring a Charioteer, it has a hooped raised band with, Excellent patina.
